Our story

Local Roots.
Lasting Results.

We are 207 Excavation, a small, locally owned excavation company built by people who grew up working the land right here in Southern Maine. We take extreme pride in our work, pay close attention to detail, and treat every property like it belongs to a neighbor, because it usually does.

Meet the owner

From Farm Fields
to Our Own Fleet.

Brandon Graves has been fascinated by excavation for as long as he can remember. He grew up working on small local farms, took Heavy Equipment Operations at Westbrook Regional Vocational Center, earned his Class A CDL there, and bought his first excavator while he was still in high school.

What started as a hobby became 207 Excavation in 2022. Today we run modern equipment, keep growing our crew and our know-how, and still hold on to the same idea Brandon started with: show up, work hard, and leave every job better than we found it.

What makes us different

Personable. Reliable. Dependable.

The owner is on site

We take ownership and quiet pride in every job we take on, and let the finished work speak for itself.

Straight talk, fair prices

Clear communication, honest timelines, and top-notch work for a fair price, on any job, commercial or residential.

Local through and through

We grew up here and we work here. Our neighbors are our customers, and that keeps us accountable.

Chosen by the community

Voted an Eagle Choice Award winner for Excavation/Earthwork by Windham Eagle readers in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Hands-on from day one

Learned by Doing.
Built on Relationships.

If you do things in person, build relationships and stay hands-on with the equipment, it gives you more drive to pursue that path.

Brandon Graves, speaking with WGME

That hands-on approach still drives everything we do. Brandon is proud of where he learned his trade and is happy to share his story with the next generation of Maine operators.
